#COroN-ARTE! - Picasso

PICASSO

Last week, we began with Piet Mondrian. I've seen some of your drawings and you did a great job!

Here are some of them:

This week, we are going to work with a famous Spanish painter,

PABLO     PICASSO

Pablo Picasso was an artist from Málaga, Spain. He did many many paintings and he co-founded the art movement known as cubism.

Do you want to know his first word?

Did you know that his name has 23 words?

You can find that and read more about him here

What are we going to do?

We are going to do a portrait (face's drawing) trying to follow the art movement that Picasso co-founded: Cubism!

There are many ways to do it so I'm going to write here different OPTIONS and you CHOOSE the one that you like the most!

First Option#StepbyStep

Fold the paper 5 times to create random diagonal lines and them use the ruler to go over them using a sharpie.

YES! You can fold your paper in different ways, no need to do the same!

After that, you imagine a face and you add the eyes, nose, mouth, ears, eyebrows...  Here are some examples!

Second Option - #StepbyStep

Again! You can draw lines differently, choose a different hairstyle, draw only one eye... it's up to you! You're the artist!

Third Option - #StepbyStep

More ideas! Use a dice and let the luck be your guide!

Fourth Option - #StepbyStep

Do it online!

Hi there!

I'd love to see your creations! You can send a picture of your drawing to my email: teacher4grade2019@gmail.com and if you and your parents agree, I can add it to our Pinterest.

PENCILS UP!
