#COroN-ARTE: POP ART

#COroN-ARTE

 P O P   A R T

This week is going to be about  P O P   A R T and that means maaaaany artists, but we are going to focus on too: Roy Lichtenstein & Andy Warhol.

But first:

Do you know why it's called   P O P   A R T ?

Because it made the art POPular!
😂😂😂

So, who were ROY and ANDY?

They both were American artists and they were friends.

Roy became famous for his colourful paintings of comic strip cartoons and everyday objetcs. In this lesson, we are going to focus in the onomatopoeia work that he did in comic books.

                                                      roy-lichtenstein-pop-print.jpg - Blue Horizon Prints

Andy became was famous for exploring popular culture in his work. I'm sure you have seen a print of Campbell's Soup - a popular brand of soup in the USA.

Andy Warhol: estrella oscura. Llega al Museo Jumex - Ciudad Digna

You can find that and read more about them here:

What are we going to do?

We are going to do  P O P   A R T  choosing the artist that you prefer.

As always, I'm going to give you two choices and you decide! It will depend on what you like and the art supplies that you have at home.

                                       First Choice: ROY- Onomatopoeia Collage
                                                 #StepbyStep

Roy's work featured a lot of onomatopoeia, which are words associated with a sound, as seen in comic books. Go ahead and make your own :)

You will need an onomatopoeia, paints or watercolour or markers or pencils or newspapers or pastels... and glue!  You can use any art supplies for this!

.                    .Glue, Bottle, Orange, Blue, Fluid     Back To School, Pencils, Rainbow, Art, School Supplies    Paper, Document, Empty, Draft, Page, Frame

1st. Choose your word and how you're going to do it

                                            #StepbyStep

You will need felt-tip pens/ markers/pencils/pastels ...  and a piece of paper!

Creative, Stationary, Motivation, Design, Color.                Paper, Document, Empty, Draft, Page, Frame

Lesson 15. English. Unit 7: Vocabulary

Lesson 15 - English

UNIT 7: In the City

Vocabulary

One week more, one week less! C'MON! 💪💪

This week we are going to start a new unit in English.

First step, like always, is to learn the vocabulary, so today's lesson is going to be about that.

HOMEWORK

Learn the vocabulary in Unit 7. You can use a piece of paper to study or this quizlet, it's up to you!

REMEMBER! In Quizlet, there are different 'study mode'. Start with 'learn' and then try the others ;)

Grab your pupil's book and listen! (Yes, you just have to listen)
  • Page 72  (Lesson 1 Vocabulary). Ex: 3
  • Page 76  (Lesson 4 Vocabulary and Grammar). Ex: 1 and 2
Also, in the Activity book you have to complete:
  • Page 70. Ex: 1
  • Page 73. Ex: 1
(*) If the number is in blue means if you clic on it you get the audio!

(**) I highly disagree with the song's lyrics in page 72. Here is my version:

I go to the dining room at lunchtime
with my...self
I sit in my sofa and watch the news
And I have lots of... food.

Where do you go?
I go to the kitchen.
What do you do there?
I cook my daily food

Chorus

Where do you go?
I go to the toilet
What do you do there?
I #################
I comb my hair and brush my teeth :)

EXTRA HOMEWORK

This topic is about cities... So I've done a presentation with the vocabulary of the unit with my city, Granada.  I dare you to the same with your city of with a city that you really like!

You can use PowerPoint, GoogleSlides, ... it's up to you!

Don't forget to send your amazing presentations to your teacher if you finally do it  #TEAMS

Have a nice Monday!

Lesson 14. English. Unit 6: The end.

Lesson 14 - English

UNIT 6 - TEST

RELAX!

Like I wrote the other day, today is the final lesson of Unit 6.

There are SIX exercises
(Listening, reading and writing.)

Exercise 6 won't count for the final mark.
I'll check it personally.

--------------

If I were you, I'll double check
the vocabulary and the grammar
before doing the test.

ADVICE! Pay special attention
to pages 60, 61 and 64 in your Pupil's book.

The test is in your workbook in Liveworksheets.

Do not worry for the mark!

It's just another exercise of this unit.

Take it easy!

WORLD BOOK DAY!

23rd April

Today was one of these days when
I would have drawn something awful in the whiteboard.

Today is the day where two of the GOAT
(Greatest Of All Time) in literacy died,
Miguel de Cervantes and William Shakespeare.
(That's what they say)

Today is the WORLD BOOK DAY!

Today is Sant Jordi
'en la terra de la meva àvia'.
Today is just another perfect day to start reading.

Today is just another lovely day to talk about books.

And today, my deeply missed students,

is one of my favourite days of the year.
Because, if you haven't noticed yet,

I LOVE READING!

Welcome to the World Book Day in the blog :)

#BookFaceChallenge

Who's the BEST? He's the BEST.

Yes, you can see my head in the top. I've got a big head, OKAY? Okay.

I didn't know she had curly hair!

Do you want to join us?

It's tricky!

You have to find a book/page with a face

 and REPLACE your face.

REMEMBER! If we see your face, you lose!

#PrivacyAboveAll

Send me your pictures to my email.

We can create an album with all the pictures - if you follow the rules.

Your teachers are going to be on it!
