Because it made the art POPular!
😂😂😂
So, who were ROY and ANDY?
They both were American artists and they were friends.
Roy became famous for his colourful paintings of comic strip cartoons and everyday objetcs. In this lesson, we are going to focus in the onomatopoeia work that he did in comic books.
Andy became was famous for exploring popular culture in his work. I'm sure you have seen a print of Campbell's Soup - a popular brand of soup in the USA.

What are we going to do?
We are going to do P O P A R T choosing the artist that you prefer.
As always, I'm going to give you two choices and you decide! It will depend on what you like and the art supplies that you have at home.
#StepbyStep
Roy's work featured a lot of onomatopoeia, which are words associated with a sound, as seen in comic books. Go ahead and make your own :)
You will need an onomatopoeia, paints or watercolour or markers or pencils or newspapers or pastels... and glue! You can use any art supplies for this!
. .
1st. Choose your word and how you're going to do it
2nd. Glue your pieces down and use a black marker to outline all your shapes
Second Choice: Andy Warhol Artwork
#StepbyStep
You will need felt-tip pens/ markers/pencils/pastels ... and a piece of paper!
1st. Choose one design and copy it multiple times
2nd. Colour it with different colours!
