This is the last #COroN-ARTE class before the 😎😎S U M M E R😎😎 

We have known several artists this school year, like:

• Yaacov Agam
• Georgia O'Keeffe
• Pablo Picasso
• Vincent Van Gogh
• Roy Lichtenstein 
• Andy Warhol
• George Seurat
• Piet Mondrian

And you have done an amazing work in the different activities we have done like the universe, drawing animal eyes, the mosaics or the unfolding surprises! 

We even decorated the windows with different sea animals to let everyone know that we don't want plastics in our oceans!

What are we going to do today?

We're going to do a final drawing with a summer design and something you have learnt or liked about this arts & crafts year. 

Option 1 - Summer vibes!

1st. Choose a design connected to the summer!

2nd. Choose an artist or an art movement and colour it!

 

A Picasso summer face
A starry night flip-flop
 A Mondrian flip-flop or palm tree
A pop art or pointillism sun

           AGAMOGRAPHS         

This week we're going to do an   AGAMOGRAPHS  

An   AGAMOGRAPHS  is a series of images that change at different angles.  When you view the finished agamograph, you’ll see one complete image from one point of view, and the other one from the opposite angle.

This work is named after the artist Yaacov Agam.

So, who is Yaacov?

Yaacov Agam is an Israeli artist that was born in 1928,  he is 92 years old!!!! 

There is a museum dedicated to his art and there is an award created specially for him!

What are we going to do?

We are going to do an  AGAMOGRAPH  choosing the design that you like the most. It can be anything! 

Option 1 - Build your own!

1st. Design, draw and colour!

You're going to need 2 pieces of paper (I divided them in 2).

Use the ruler to divide them into rectangles and number them in the correct order.

Draw and colour your designs!

Today is 5th June: World Environment Day!

2nd. Cut each strip! 

Yes! Cut them carefully!

3rd. Glue the strips - in order - in the other piece of paper. 

For example: 1A-1B-2A-2B-3A-4A...

4th. Fold in an accordion style, front and back.

Option 2 - Using a template!

The steps are mostly the same but you can use a template.

You'll need a printer 😣

(If you don't have one, like your teacher, you can do option 1)

This week has been the GEEK PRIDE DAY! 
As you know, the teacher is a proud geek (or nerd) so this week we're going to do PIXEL ART

What are we going to do?

We are going to do a  PIXEL ART  choosing the design that you like. It can be anything! 

There are thousands of designs on the internet to inspire you. 

For example, in this website http://hellopixelart.blogspot.com/ you can find lots of designs and how to do them. Also, there are hundreds of templates in Pinterest.

Option 1 - (Paper) Pixel art!

You're going to need a piece of paper... of a notebook! 

Why? Because we need the squares!!!!!

Also, you're going to need pencils or markers ;)

(and patience)

1st. You need a graph paper

2nd. Choose a design and start doing small dots. 

3rd. Colour the dots. 

Option 2 - Pixel art online! 

If you like working with the computer...

This week is going to be about Georges Seurat.

“Some say they see poetry in my paintings; I see only science.”

So, who was George? 

Well, he was a French artist and this one of his most iconic paintings:

'A Sunday afternoon on the island of La Grande Jatte'

It has a really cool effect thanks to Seurat's favourite painting technique - pointillism. 

In POINTILLISM, tiny dots of colour are put together, repeatedly, till it fills in an entire area. Your brain will mix it ip so your eyes will see a single picture rather than a combination of dots.

What are we going to do?

We are going to do a pointillism art choosing the design that you prefer. 

There are different ways to do it and it will depend on what you like and the art supplies that you have at home. I'm going to give you two easy choices this time, feel free to choose the one that you prefer or something new, it's up to you! 

                                                     First Choice - #StepbyStep 

You will need paints or watercolour, a piece of paper ... and cotton buds! Although you can use a brush too.

1st. Choose and draw a simple design

2nd. Start colouring using the cotton buds or brushes

                                                     Second Choice- #StepbyStep 

You will need felt-tip pens / markers and a piece of paper! You can use pencils too, but it is easier with markers.
